Almost as if it could wantonly go about stomping beds it considers unworthy into hard tamped soil to punish those responsible for it’s intrusion on all that is beautiful. Instead we are looking at !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Tell me you wouldn’t justify staying in here as an excuse to get the wife swept up in a trip to the shore. For a trip they ’ll never forget.
For us, there is the chance to go peak overlanding and park that supremely well outfitted adventure vehicle proudly out front for all to admire. Feel free to post your monstrosity with the world’s most expensive two person tent attached or since we are in Jersey, HELLA lights.

You can’t live in this big fowl, but you sure can eat. The eyes and beak move, too!

Looks like a zoo for rich tourists, eco-tourism. Modern ideas like the rifle have not been kind to noble beasts.

I wouldn’t call it eco-tourism, after all flying to Thailand is not the most ecologically friendly activity. Thailand is notoriously cheap so one doesn’t have to be rich, either. Regarding the elephants themselves, they are all rescues, either from logging operations, circuses, or zoos. Elephants have less to fear from hunters than from people looking to capitalize on their labor.
We spent better part of a day there feeding them, bathing them, and doing medical checks. It’s really a great business model - get people to part with their money for the opportunity to do your job for you.
